Following her larger than life best friend to NYU was a dream come true. Modeling part-time to pay the bills, while she earned her teaching degree, Reese Mitchell never imagined her Nana’s prediction of finding her future husband could be possible. Then she met…HIM! Walker Reed, her handsome stranger. He was sexy as sin and one look from him, she was hooked.

Loving Walker was effortless. He captured her heart with one touch making Reese lose herself in him. From strangers to lovers, they became two hearts…one love. Outside forces conspire to tear their love apart leaving her to wonder if two people from different worlds should stay together?

She believes in…FOREVER.

3.5 stars. I liked the overall plot. Reese Mitchell is spending her senior year of college in NYC and is a country girl transplant to the big city. Walker Reed spots her one day and from there, sparks fly from undeniable attraction. The buildup to their romance was not angsty or involved much of a chase or push and pull. The obstacles they faced had a lot more to do with other people and determining what their future plans together would be. I liked both Reese and Walker, their connection was solid and there was no doubt how they felt about one another. Walker always puts Reese first.

What I struggled a little bit with was the progression of their relationship, not that it wasn't believable, but there were times where the way it was written didn't transition very smoothly or felt a little awkward and instead came off fast paced or over presumptuous. There are also times where the story switches POVs from one paragraph to the next with no heading or subtext to clue the reader in on this change so then it makes the reading a bit confusing because the first person originally speaking is now being referred to in third person since it's now someone else's internal monologue. I found that to be a little bit distracting.

Aside from that, the story shifts directions in a way that builds up drama and angst and leaves the reader hanging at the end with unresolved and conflicting feelings. Walker and Reese had the rug pulled out from under them and the aftermath is not pretty. What will happen to them and in the meantime, how do they move on? What does fate have in store for them and how cruel can it be? The next book will hopefully answer some of those questions.

Forever Forever Series Book 1 edition by Mary Wasowski Sarah Hansen Health Fitness Dieting eBooks Reviews

This is my first Mary Wasowski book and it won't be my last!

This passionate, crazy, butterflies in your stomach kind of love story had me hooked from the first few chapters.

Reese and the very sexy, very swoonworthy Walker meet and have that insta-love that well, you usually only read about in books! She is the beautiful, yet very simple country girl from Georgia, who lives with her cherished grandparents after her parents die when she is a young girl. He is the wealthy son of a very powerful man, who is grooming him to take over his high-powered company.

Reese and Walker meet at NYU, where both are seniors. Reese previously went to school in Georgia, where she meets her best friend Freddy Mac. He leaves to go to NYU, back to his roots and Reese, after a very unfortunate incident while modeling, a job she does just for fun, decides to join her best friend and go to NY as well to live with him.

The attraction for our couple is immediate. Walker can't stand to be without her and his father, well he can't stand that his son has fallen for what he calls a country bumpkin. Their good friends' daughter Elizabeth is the one for Walker and his father will not let anything or anyone stand in his way of making sure they end up together. The fact that Walker doesn't share his father's feelings for Elizabeth doesn't seem to matter sadly.

When Reese is confronted by the mighty Philip Reed, she has to make a decision whether or not to fight for what she and Walker have and possibly alienate him from his family and destiny, or walk away and never look back.

I won't spoil what happens because that isn't even close to the end of the story. This book has more twists and turns than a roller coaster yet I enjoyed every minute.

The book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger and now I wait patiently to see how this love story will continue. This is a well written book that I recommend highly. I'm hopeful the author will not make us wait too long for the next chapter.

Give it a chance...you won't be disappointed. A very solid 4 stars!
I've been sitting here stewing on what to rate or even how to write this review. Why don't I start by ripping the band-aid off quickly and go straight to what I didn't like. Okay, so you have this love story about a girl who moves to NYC to continue her education. She meets Walker Reed and they begin their whirlwind romance. Therein lies the problem. Their journey to love feels rushed. It kinda fast-forwarded a few weeks and they were already in a relationship, almost inseparable. I didn't *feel* the love quite yet. It was Walker's actions as the book went on that made me feel that bond between him and Reese. I want to share with you one of the moments that made me a believer. This is a small excerpt from the book and it had me in tears.

"When I look at you, this is what I see. I see you walking down the aisle in a beautiful, white dress designed by Freddy, and escorted by your grandfather. You’ll look so beautiful that I can hardly breathe. I see you holding our newborn son or daughter in your arms. I kiss your lips, and whisper thank you for making me the happiest man in the world. II see you and our children by my side when I cut the ribbon to the new building that I have designed. I see us growing old together, Reese. We will enjoy the family that we created. We will welcome our grandchildren into the world. Forever, baby…I only see forever when I look at you."

And there I go crying again. I was a goner from then on. I knew the plot twist was coming. I could feel it in my bones and I didn't want it to come. I wanted to stay in this land of bliss. Then it hit....and it sucked. Reese and Walker were betrayed by someone that's supposed to love you unconditionally. So what do you do when you've been dealt a bad hand? You move on. This cut deeper than I could have ever imagined. I began to accept it. He deserves to be happy right? I don't feel any hatred towards Walker. I sympathize with him. Just when I came to terms with it and was happy for him my heart was blown to smithereens. I know it needed to happen but my heart is breaking for all of them. I've never read a book that brought in such strong emotions. Even now, the day after finishing the book, I'm still crying writing this. It's not fair! Thankfully book two is right around the corner. I don't think I can wait very long to read the second installment. Please do yourself a favor and read this book.
